Newbie Problem - impossible to enter numbers in the sub-tracks (Chance, velocity,...)

Can you do the following:

1. Right-click in a track to show popup menu.
2. Right-click "Velocity text"
3. Select "Change keybinding for ..."
4. Press left alt + y
5. Select "Yes".

And then post the added line shown under Help -> Edit Keybindings.

My line looks like this:

Also, does left alt + y show/hide the velocity text subtrack afterwards?

With BÉPO layout: QWERTY_X ALT_L FOCUS_EDITOR : ra.showHideVeltext
(key x on a qwerty keyboard is the position of the y letter with the BÉPO layout).

With QWERTY layout: QWERTY_Y ALT_L FOCUS_EDITOR : ra.showHideVeltext

… And yes, in both cases the keyboard shortcut works.

Seems like xcb reports another symbol for the y key other than the expected XK_Y.

I suggest you just add your keybindings manually. Everyone should probably do that anyway, both for better customization, plus making it easier to remember keybindings.
