Jack Transport and writing of notes in the editor
To work precisely with the video, I think it would be interesting to have a synchronization mode of the editor with Jack Transport and so Xjadeo player.
According to what I have experienced, the synchronization is done from the sequencer. But being able to scroll through images by moving the editor’s cursor would be very useful. It would allow to write the music while always having a precise vision of the position in relation to the moving images.
Well... maybe it’s not that simple. In this possible new synchronization mode with the editor, it would be useful, and perhaps even necessary, to be able to define the temporal position of starting the video. Indeed, a block of music can then be edited to be played from a certain time of the video, and the writing of the music in this block must be able to synchronize from a certain point (in number of images or time-code) of the video.
I don’t know if it’s possible, but if so, it seems to me that the best would be to have the choice of the type of synchronization via an alternative button. The two types of synchronization can be useful depending on whether one is at the stage of writing a block, or at the stage of mounting several blocks.
I don’t know if I am clear. What do you think?
